Loss Announcement:

PERILS 3rd «Xynthia» Loss Estimate at EUR 1.30bn — First time Pan‐European windstorm data available at CRESTA level

PERILS has today announced its third loss estimate for Storm Xynthia of EUR 1.30bn, up from EUR 1.27bn reported in May this year.

PERILS also announced that in the first eight months of 2010 the total placements of insurance risk transactions based on PERILS industry loss indices was USD 525m.
