AUD 1,563M - PERILS releases detailed industry loss footprint for 2023 Australia Christmas Storms
PERILS, has today released the third loss estimate for the Australia Christmas Storms which affected the states of Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland during the period of 23 to 29 December 2023.
In its third loss report, provided in the form of a detailed industry loss footprint, PERILS estimates that the event has cost the insurance industry a total of AUD 1,563 million. This figure is based on loss data collected from affected insurers and covers the property and motor hull lines of business.
